Buy Black Chambana is home to Champaign County’s online Black-owned business directory. We are a community organization dedicated to empowering and creating space for all people to celebrate and honor Black culture, support Black business and uplift the community through our many events, workshops, partnerships and networking functions.

We organize and promote a comprehensive Black-owned business directory filled with Black owned businesses in Champaign County.

Education And Training

We host monthly workshops, offer one-on-one consulting services and business bootcamps to help refine and develop entrepreneurial skills for long-term success.

Keep It Clean

Socials, Events And Festivals

We host culturally inclusive events. (Member socials, the Urban Market Pop-up Shop, 217 Black Restaurant Weekend, Business of the Year Awards and Photos with Black Santa.)

We collaborate with community organizations to address issues and policies that create barriers to entry and growth.

Meet Mariah

Mariah Madison lives in Urbana with her partner Anthony, son Logan, and two snakes King and Amaretto. She is a graduate from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Business.

Today she oversees several businesses as a stay at home mom. Illini Sitters, Nannyville, CU Childcare Connection FB Group, Buy Black Chambana, and HeadStart Marketing.

Her ultimate goal is to develop platforms that meets the needs of the evolving industry, while pairing it with an unparalleled approach to service, and make it widely accessible to all.
