At Ladies First Beauty Supply, everything you need in house.
Located on 1807 W. Bradley Ave, Suite F in Champaign, Illinois, Ladies’ First was started by Sherard Brown, a Howard University graduate
Brown is no stranger to the entrepreneurship game. His first company, a cleaning service, partnered with several property managers in the Champaign area.
“I feel like Champaign hasn’t had a black-owned beauty-supply in a very long time,”said Brown. “This was something that I could bring to [the city], for our people during the pandemic.
Brown’s commitment to his community can be seen in the products he acquires for his customers.
Through overseas and online vendors, Brown supplies his customers with hair dye and rinses, virgin bundles, jewelry, a full display of Nyx brand makeup, children’s braiding hair, children’s bonnets, etc.
And men aren’t left out of the either.
The store has clippers, brushes, durags, beard oils and more. Also available is
A licensed esthetician and hair stylist are also available in the store. Brown also plans on hiring a licensed hair braider and nail tech.
You can visit Ladies’ First Beauty Supply Monday through Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
